The 26th Annual Thanksgiving Day Run/Walk for Charity is scheduled for Thursday, November 22nd at Ogden Regional Medical Center, located 5475 South 500 East (Adams Ave.)
Registration begins at 8:15 a.m. The event starts at 9:00 a.m. The five-mile run or two-mile walk starts in the west parking lot at Ogden Regional Medical Center. Pre-registration forms can be picked up at Ogden Regional now through November 21 or downloaded online at www.ogdenregional.com. A celebration Mass will be held at 7:15 in the Education Center at Ogden Regional.
Entry fees for the event consist of any donation of nonperishable foods, goods or monetary contributions. All donations will support the Ogden Rescue Mission, St. Anne’s Center, Catholic Community Services, and the Salvation Army in Ogden. Checks may be made payable to the Newman Center. The Run/Walk will take place regardless of weather conditions.
November 24th: Ogden Santa Run 5K; everybody runs dressed like Santa before the Christmas Village lights are turned on for the Holiday Season. There’s a parade too! Details at www.runsanta.com or call Joe at 801-335-4940
December 1st: Buffalo Run training run at Antelope Island. Run is FREE, meet at the main gate at 8:00am and carpool onto the Island. 15 mile trail run. Bring your own water and provisions. Details at www.buffalorun.org
December 8th: Pearl Izumi 5 mile training run & demo at STRIDERS. 8am, food and drink after the run. Come check out the new shoes from Pearl Izumi.
December 24th: Antelope Island White Rock/Split Rock 16 mile trail training run. This is the 7th annual Christmas Eve training run. Meet at 8am at the main gate and bring a Christmas gift for John:-)
December 31st: End of the Year run at STRIDERS! 6 mile out-and-back hill run. 8am food and hot drinks after. Please come sober.
