It's been a crazy week leading up to the BAIRGUTSMAN this weekend and there's always a lot of stuff going on at STRIDERS, but I didn't want to forget to give a "buh-ya" to the boy on his performance in the mile swim at the Utah USA swim Championships in Kearns last week. Shad's only swam the distance a couple of times prior; in fact he only qualified for the state meet in the mile two weeks ago (on his birthday). He gave up a trip to Seattle to see Eddie Vedder in order to swim in that meet. Anyway, congratulations on your 6th place finish at State (21 min). We're still not sure where you picked-up the swim gene but Ma & Pa are very proud of you. Congratulations to all the South Davis Tsunami swimmers; you guys (and gals) rocked it.
